WWP and I are completely addicted to
The Sopranos. Actually we're just settling in for a few hours right now, as I'm typing this. We're almost done with Season 2, last disc. I really can't explain why I'm drawn to this, although my mom has been raving about this for years now. Well, finally we've gotten into it. Maybe because it reminds me of home, or because Christopher is cute, or because Adriana is hot, or because Carmela is so pitiable, or maybe, because, I understand where Tony is coming from with those f*****g ducks. Maybe it's because in spite of everything, Carm & Tony try to be good parents just like mine.
Actually, it's only because I'm waiting for Tony to sleep with Dr. Malfi.
(Ooooh, she drinks Belvedere vodka. A woman with style.)
Maybe it's because it reminds me I need to see my own shrink.
Actually, no really, this is why: Tony Soprano is a sympathetic character. I feel sorry for him more often than not. And I think this reminds me that no matter how awful I think some people are, they are still human. And they still make mistakes, and they, in their own special way, try to do what's best for themselves and the people they care about.
Those who know what's up know who that's in reference to.
In related news, graduation may be delayed.
It's sort of like, this time at Stop and Shop a little while ago. I was in one of the self-checkout lanes. An error message popped up, something about Windows being low on virtual memory and response time may be slowed.
You never know what weirdness lies behind the normalcy. Or when it will seep through.
